Nowdays many students use to using electric dictionaries to look up new words. as an old saying goes"Everything has its advantages and disadvantages", I think to use electric dictionaries also has advantages and disadvantages.
For one thing, if we use a electric dictionary, it is very convenient for us to find the explanation quickly. For the other thing, it is also easy for us to take the electric dictionaries everywhere we go.Both of that are the advantages. But I think it is also bad for us to use it. Why? Many of students get used to using them instead of using dictionaries, and later they will get use to do things in a lazier way. It is not good for us to form a good learning habit. Meanwhile, sometimes there are no example sentences in the e-dictionary, so maybe we know the meanings of the words, but we don't know how to use them in complete sentences.
As I said above, I think we shouldn't treat the e-dictionary as the only way to know the meanings of new words. Looking up them in dictionaries may be a better way for our study.
