为什么《新概念英语》中将“衣柜”写成了“cupboard”？应该写“wardrobe”或者“cabinet”才对吧？

《牛津词典》中对cupboard有个解释：a piece of furniture with doors and shelves used for storing dishes, food, clothes, etc.

因此cupboard可以是衣柜。

I decided to hang one of the tow suits I had brought with me in the cupboard. 我想把随身带来的两套西服中的一套挂到衣柜里去。
